About Me

My name is Jonny Naylor, I am 26 years -old, and on 28th December 2019, I became a father.

Here’s me pointing out my future home.

Throughout the pregnancy I would look for blogs/vlogs from a father’s perspective of having a newborn, but often found nothing. So I’d like to offer my experiences and maybe the occasional piece of advice.

Luckily, my fiancée, Pebbles, is the most incredible mum in the world, and together I feel we are an amazing team.

Easily our favourite picture together.

But becoming a parent was daunting. The pregnancy was laced with worry as we have had two miscarriages, and it seemed that obstetric choleostasis was going to wreak havoc throughout.

But Pebbles once again showed her strength and on 28th December 2019, Rouan George was born.

Nothing prepares you for seeing your baby for the first time.

And since then I’ve learned a lot, like just how underrated sleep really is! It’s the most amazing, difficult, and rewarding experience of my life so far, and every day brings something new, but I know that there was a lack of insight and support for soon-to-be-dads, so I hope that by adding my voice, I can bring comfort and help to anyone who needs it.

A lot can change over the course of a few weeks, but cheekiness will always be a constant.

So that’s the short version of our little family’s story, and this blog will essentially be the long version. And if it helps one person in any way, I’ll see that as an absolute win.
