Today is 28th February (as of writing). We got the keys to our first house on Valentine’s Day. Hence the silence on this blog.
We had our offer accepted on the house mid-June 2019, and since then have been fighting tooth and nail to keep the sale from falling through while being messed around constantly. Add that to our first pregnancy after two miscarriages and a baby due around the busiest time of the year with an undiagnosed liver condition for baby mama, and you get an absolute mess of stress and worry.
And nothing’s really changed. Every day is more stress and worry. We still haven’t fully moved into the house. We’re decorating and cleaning and doing everything that comes with moving into a new house, all with a newborn, while I work a full-time job. Let’s say time is hard to come by, and when it does come by, it’s spent catching up on as much sleep as possible. So everything is slow-going at the moment, which is why this blog has taken a backseat. Plus I was trying to finish Breaking Bad, which is overrated. I feel like people wanted to love it, and seasons 3 and 4 were very good, especially for their time, but 1, 2 and 5 were borefests interlaced with a couple of good episodes.
Sorry. Tangent.
Yeah, life is hectic, and trying to balance the house and Rou and Pebbles and me and work and everything is tough, so less time to write. But I do think I’m starting to time manage a bit more efficiently, getting minor jobs done here and there. And hopefully after this weekend we’re a lot further on with the house. It’s hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel, but I think it’s starting to brighten up. Or maybe it’s a train coming straight for me. We’ll see.
Amyway, quick drop in to say that Rou is now 2 months old (what? Eh? How?!). He’s doing well. He smiles which is the best thing ever, and he’s more vocal and alert and growing into himself more and more each day. Mum and I are incredibly tired and drained, but we’re managing. Lots has happened that I’ll try and put in other blog posts soon, but I thought the next post could be a biggie as there’s been a drought recently. So the next post will be all about the birth. Should be interesting.
So until then, which hopefully should be in the next few days, look after yourselves, and here’s a picture of Rou for your troubles.

Loved it!! Keep up the good work. 😉
